The wait is almost over after the 2019/2020 Premiership suddenly came to a halt due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. Round 14 of the Premiership Rugby Campaign resumes on Friday 14th August with Harlequins and Sale Sharks kicking things off at the Twickenham Stoop.

The current standings after 13 rounds of Rugby are as follows:

* Saracens deducted 105 points for breaches to the Salary Cap regulations

There are seven remaining rounds of the Gallagher Premiership to go before the all important semi final and grand final is played. Clubs have just 7 weeks to build some results to get a place in the top 4. Although nobody will be fearing relegation as Saracens have volunteered themselves for the championship, Leicester Tigers will be keen to climb a few places as their Premiership Heritage is far to superior for last place.

Wasps will be fighting to get themselves in the top 4 for a chance of getting into the play off’s as are Bath Rugby.

This season’s will be Exeter’s to lose in my opinion. With Saracens not in contention and the Chiefs looking the sharpest of the current top 4 I think they should be able to secure a 2nd Premiership Title. Semi Finals will be held on weekend 9/10 October with the Final scheduled for Saturday 24th October at Twickenham Stadium.

Not to be forgotten is the commencement of the European Cups, Saracens, Exeter Chiefs, Northampton Saints competing in the Champions Cup and Leicester Tigers and Bristol Bears for the Challenge Cup. These clubs will using the depth of their entire squads to maximise their chances of success. The Quarter Finals commence on 18/19 September, Semi Finals 25/26/27 September with the Finals over the weekend 16/17/18 October.
