Market Bosworth - on the Leicester/Warwickshire border

Market Bosworth is a small, attractive and historically interesting town with a population of just over 2,000.

The town centre is a conservation area with many old buildings surrounding the Market Place. There are a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, three churches and three schools.

Close by is the site of the famous Battle of Bosworth, fought in 1485, with its Visitor Centre and walks with information boards giving details of the Battle.

Also other places of interest are the Ashby Canal, the Water Park and The Country Park; all within walking distance of the town centre. A short drive to Shackerstone takes the visitor to the Shackerstone Steam Railway Line with a regular service between Shackerstone and Shenton; Shenton being within the Battlefield site.
